Available Service Canada and CRA information related to Financial Literacy and how they apply to Privately Sponsored Refugees
November is Financial Literacy Month. The RSTP is facilitating a Financial Literacy info session on this occasion, in collaboration with Service Canada and the CRA.
This session will particularly benefit PSR sponsors, and the refugees they are sponsoring. It is a chance to receive insight and clarification from CRA and Service Canada on programs available to sponsored refugees, there will also be a chance to have your questions answered during the webinar.
Service Canada will review:
- -programs available to newcomers
- -benefits available to newcomers
The CRA will discuss:
- – their benefits available to newcomers
- -their credits available to newcomers
- -and provide clarification on which benefit programs apply (and which don’t apply) to former refugees/sponsored newcomers.
