Introduction to the Private Sponsorship of Refugees

If you are looking to sponsor a refugee who is known to you, you may be able to do so through Canada’s Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program.

We’ll go over the entire program. You’ll leave this introductory webinar with an understanding of whether you’re eligibile to sponsor as a PSR sponsor and refugee, and you’ll have the tools to get started on your sponsorship journey.

We will cover the following topics:

• Review of the entire PSR sponsorship process from application to post-arrival responsbilities.
• Eligibility criteria:
  • who can become a sponsor in Canada
  • who can be sponsored as a refugee through the PSR program
  • other basic requirements to apply.
• How to get started on your application.
