DESCRIPTION:Available Service Canada and CRA information related to Financial Literacy and how they apply to Privately Sponsored Refugees\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNovember is Financial Literacy Month. The RSTP is facilitating a Financial Literacy info session on this occasion\, in collaboration with Service Canada and the CRA. \n\n\n\nThis session will particularly benefit PSR sponsors\, and the refugees they are sponsoring. It is a chance to receive insight and clarification from CRA and Service Canada on programs available to sponsored refugees\, there will also be a chance to have your questions answered during the webinar.\n\n\n\n\nService Canada will review:\n\n-programs available to newcomers\n-benefits available to newcomers\n\nThe CRA will discuss: \n\n– their benefits available to newcomers\n-their credits available to newcomers\n-and provide clarification on which benefit programs apply (and which don’t apply) to former refugees/sponsored newcomers.\n\nPlease REGISTER HERE. The purpose of the interview is to establish whether the applicant is eligible and admissible for resettlement to Canada under the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) Program. \nThe decision of the Visa Officer depends significantly on the outcome of the interview\, this webinar will offer some recommendations on; \n-how to prepare the refugee sponsorship applicant (the refugee) before the interview \n-What to do during the interview \n-and what to expect after the interview. \nPlease REGISTER HERE to participate.
