DESCRIPTION:Please note\, this online training session is intended for sponsors in the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program.\nAbout the series: \nThe RSTP Quick Learn Series are a set of short\, highly focused training webinars about post-arrival settlement support\, designed to strengthen your understanding of the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) Program and IRCC’s sponsorship requirements. \nAbout this session:  \nDuring this session\, we will talk about how partnering with local settlement provider organizations (SPOs) can strengthen your refugee sponsorship and support. We will explore the services that SPOs offer\, the advantages of building strong connections\, and how collaboration can help ensure newcomers receive coordinated\, community-based support as they settle and integrate in Canada. \nWhat else to expect: \n-A Certificate of Attendance (featuring the RSTP and IRCC logos) confirming that Constituent Groups\, Co-sponsors\, and volunteers have gained essential knowledge on key post-arrival settlement needs.\n-Guidance to help you stay informed\, meet IRCC expectations\, and enhance your sponsorship efforts. \nThis session will run twice so you can choose the most convenient date. \nOctober 15th @ 6 pm (MDT). DESCRIPTION:This hands-on webinar by the Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP) is for new and experienced sponsors who want to learn about the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program. Join us to learn how to submit your PSR application online\, through the Permanent Residence Portal (PR portal). \nIn this session\, we will cover information about:\n*how to submit the application package online. \n*how to navigate the new PR Portal and find out how to access it and how to log in. \n* the difference between a Primary Sponsor and a Principal Applicant – and the documents that each of them need to upload to the portal. \n*how to review your application in detail before submitting it online \n*common application mistakes that you can avoid making. \n  \nThe monthly webinars are a 5-part PSR program webinar series where attendees will learn how to become a PSR refugee sponsor by going through the entire process from A-Z.
