DESCRIPTION:Join us for an insightful and empowering webinar\, where you will discover how you can become a catalyst for positive change through refugee sponsorship through Canada’s special program that matches would-be sponsors with refugees in need of resettlement. \nThe Blended Visa Office-Referred (BVOR) program is a partnership between the Canadian government and regular community members in Canada (Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents). \nBVOR Sponsors provide financial support (with some assistance from the government)\, emotional\, social and other key settlement supports that help refugees get a good footing in Canada and to break the isolation of being resettled to a new country alone. \n  \n  \nPlease note\, the refugees participating in the BVOR program cannot be named by sponsors\, if you know a person/refugee that you would like to sponsor\, please take a look at the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program page.

The information shared in this webinar is the same.)\n\n 	21 AUG 2024 | 6:00 PM EDT – REGISTER HERE\n\nIf you intend to apply to become a SAH in 2024\, please:\n\n 	Register for one of the above Teams webinars to learn about the process\, and\n 	complete the RSTP Mandatory Training Pre-assessment Form.  If your organization is eligible\, prepared and ready\, you will be added to the waitlist for the Becoming a Sponsorship Agreement Holder Course (SAH101) and notified when it becomes available for enrollment.\n\nABOUT THE MANDATORY ETRAINING COURSE The SAH101 etraining course is a mandatory requirement for organizations who intend to apply to become a SAH in 2024\, and have:\n\n 	been incorporated for at least two years\,\n 	previous experience in private sponsorship and settlement of refugees\,\n 	the financial and human capacity to sponsor multiple undertakings each year.\n\nThis course is designed to provide participants with essential information about the eligibility requirements\, the SAH application process\, the SAH Agreement\, SAH financial and settlement responsibilities\, as well as best practices for monitoring and working with constituent groups/co-sponsors. The mandatory e-training course must be taken by:\n\n 	the head of the organization\,\n 	the organization’s main contact for refugee sponsorship\, and;\n 	any signing authorities who will be designated as representatives for submitting sponsorship applications on behalf of the organization.\n\nParticipants can work through the materials at a pace and time that works best for them\, however they are expected to spend approximately 6 hours to complete the course materials\, and to obtain a minimum passing grade of 60% before a certificate will be issued. When will the mandatory SAH course begin? The course becomes available when the application submission period opens for 2024. The mandatory e-training course must be taken by:\n\nthe head of the organization\,\nthe organization’s main contact for refugee sponsorship\, and;\nany signing authorities who will be designated as representatives for submitting sponsorship applications on behalf of the organization.\n\nParticipants can work through the materials at a pace and time that works best for them\, however they are expected to spend approximately 6 hours to complete the course materials\, and to obtain a minimum passing grade of 60% before a certificate will be issued. When will the mandatory SAH course begin? The course becomes available when the application submission period opens for 2024. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a hands-on webinar about Canada’s Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program. In this first session\, you will find out if it’s the right program for you. The monthly webinars are a 7 part webinar series where you will learn how to become a PSR refugee sponsor by going through the entire process from A-Z. \nIf you’re already a sponsor\, you  are welcome to join us again for a quick refresher course. \n  \nLearning Format: \nYou will learn about the PSR program by walking through the entire sponsorship process together\, following a case-study of Aliya and her sponsorship group. \nWe’ll cover all the essentials\, including eligibility criteria for both sponsors and refugees\, sponsorship expenses\, and we’ll provide a general overview of the application process \n  \nPlease note: registration is required. DESCRIPTION:This information session is specifically for organizations who have been incorporated for at least two years\, and who intend to apply to become a SAH in 2024. Please only register for one). \nYou have the option to participate in one of the following sessions: \n\n01 MAY 2024 | 5:00 PM EST\n– Register Now\n29 MAY 2024 | 1:30 PM EST\n– Register Now\n26 JUN 2024 | 8:30 PM EST\n– Registration opens in June\n24 JUL  2024 | 11:00 AM EST\n– Registration opens in July\n21 AUG 2024 | 6:00 PM EST\n– Registration opens in August\n\nIf you intend to apply to become a SAH in 2024\, please: \n\nRegister for one of the above Teams webinars to learn about the process\, and\ncomplete the RSTP Mandatory Training Pre-assessment Form. \nIf your organization is eligible\, prepared and ready\, you will be added to the waitlist for the Becoming a Sponsorship Agreement Holder Course (SAH101) and notified when it becomes available for enrollment.\n\nABOUT THE MANDATORY ETRAINING COURSE \nThe SAH101 etraining course is a mandatory requirement for organizations who intend to apply to become a SAH in 2024\, and have: \n\nbeen incorporated for at least two years\,\nprevious experience in private sponsorship and settlement of refugees\,\nthe financial and human capacity to sponsor multiple undertakings each year.\n\nThis course is designed to provide participants with essential information about the eligibility requirements\, the SAH application process\, the SAH Agreement\, SAH financial and settlement responsibilities\, as well as best practices for monitoring and working with constituent groups/co-sponsors. \nThe mandatory e-training course must be taken by: \n\nthe head of the organization\,\nthe organization’s main contact for refugee sponsorship\, and;\nany signing authorities who will be designated as representatives for submitting sponsorship applications on behalf of the organization.\n\nParticipants can work through the materials at a pace and time that works best for them\, however they are expected to spend approximately 6 hours to complete the course materials\, and to obtain a minimum passing grade of 60% before a certificate will be issued. \nWhen will the mandatory SAH course begin?\nThe course becomes available when the application submission period opens for 2024.\nWatch for IRCC’S ANNOUNCEMENT on the canada.ca website to see when the application submission period begins.
